Emily Jane Moseley/Lambda Chapter selected as the 2008 Supreme Governing Council Model Initiate.

The Governing Council is honored to announce that Emily Jane Moseley has been selected as the Supreme Governing Council Model Initiate (SGCMI) for 2008. Emily is a new member of Lambda Chapter at The University of Kansas. Emily comes from a rich history of Chi Omega relatives including her mother (Personnel Advisor for Lambda Chapter), grandmother, great-grandmother and many others.

Every two years, the Supreme Governing Council selects a new member to be initiated at the National Chi Omega Convention. The entire Convention delegation witnesses the new member's experience as her chapter's officers perform the Chi Omega Initiation ceremony. This event has been a Chi Omega tradition and a Convention highlight since the early 1900's. Being selected as the Supreme Governing Council Model Initiate is a great honor for both the chosen new member and her initiating chapter.

The Model Initiation will occur during Convention 2008 on Saturday evening, July 12th in St. Louis, MO. We hope that you will make plans to join us for this special event. Congratulations to Emily and Lambda Chapter!
