Jean Mrasek Tapped for Leadership Role in NPC

Jean Mrasek, S.H. 2004-2008, has been selected to serve as Chi Omega's representative on the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) Executive Committee. Jean will enter the officer rotation in fall 2009 and assume the office of NPC Chairman in 2013.

There are 26 NPC member groups (national women's fraternities). Serving as Chairman of NPC is an honor with much responsibility as the leadership opportunity occurs every 52 years with each NPC member group rotating into the chair position for the two-year term.

At the Chi Omega Convention in St. Louis, Jean ended her second term as National President. Jean's time and talents as National President from 2004-2008 have led the Fraternity to new heights and Chi Omega will benefit from her leadership for many years to come.

As National President, Jean has led the Fraternity through the past four years with steady and visionary leadership. Many of Chi Omega's recent accomplishments pertain to the implementation of a strategic communication plan which consisted of a marketing campaign and launching of new visual identity, magazine re-design, and parent outreach; technology upgrades; new on line resources and educational modules; customized chapter assistance; fire suppression system mandate for Chi Omega owned facilities; and other significant initiatives. Chi Omega has added four new chapters on college campuses under Jean's tenure as president, with another chapter scheduled for re-colonization at George Washington University this fall.

Chi Omega is grateful for Jean's dedication and commitment as S.H. We are confident she will provide as outstanding leadership on the NPC Executive Committee as she has for Chi Omega.
