Happy Birthday, Chi Omega!

Dear Sisters,

Serving as your S.H. is an honor and a privilege. I have the opportunity to travel the nation and meet collegians and alumnae, attend significant chapter anniversaries, and participate in special ceremonies.

One of the memories I will always cherish was attending the rededication of our Greek Theatre on the campus at the University of Arkansas. To this day, the Greek Theatre continues to inspire those who visit campus. The words on the frieze on the Theatre set forth high ideals: knowledge, integrity, courage, culture and intelligence. The Greek Theater symbolizes the great expectation that we should live with high purpose and helpfulness toward our fellow man.

In 1930, the Chi Omega Greek Theatre was unique as it was the first gift by any Greek letter organization to the institution where it was founded. Chi Omega reaches out in partnership and collaboration with its host institutions to empower our young women to reach their highest potential. Chi Omega continues to be a leader among Greek groups in many different ways.

First and foremost. Unique. Grand. Dignified. That is Chi Omega.

Sisters, as we celebrate our founding, let us reflect on the Chi Omega symbols and high ideals that guide us on life's journey. And let us give thanks for the friendships that enrich our lives each and every day.

Happy Birthday, Chi Omega!

Loyally Yours,

Jean Mrasek, S.H.
