Tau Gamma Chapter at Wittenberg University

On August 24, 2009 the Governing Council of Chi Omega suspended the operations of Tau Gamma Chapter at Wittenberg University based on allegations of activities in violation of the chapter's spring 2009 probationary terms.

A team representing the national fraternity arrived on campus on August 25 to meet with the chapter and with university officials. As a result of this visit the Governing Council of Chi Omega voted to close Tau Gamma Chapter effective August 27, 2009 due to activities found to be inconsistent with Chi Omega's national policies.

The Governing Council recognizes that Tau Gamma Chapter has had a history of achievement in many areas and has many outstanding alumnae since its installation at Wittenberg in 1924.
