Three Texas alumnae celebrate in Memphis

In October, three long-time Chi Omega friends made their first visit to the Executive Headquarters in Memphis – Carolyn Johnson Phelps (Sigma Zeta/Texas A&M U-Commerce), Linda Long Valentino (Alpha Zeta/Texas State U-San Marcos), and Nancy Dassdorf Hiner (Sigma Gamma/Davis and Elkins College).  After their visit to the Executive Headquarters, they purchased a brick to be engraved with each of their names and placed in the Myth Garden’s Centennial Walk.  These ladies met through the Bay Area Texas Alumnae Chapter more than 33 years ago and came to Memphis in celebration of Nancy’s birthday.

Nancy joined the Margaret Hyde Heritage Society this spring while making plans for a bequest to establish a scholarship through the Chi Omega Foundation.  We are grateful for Nancy’s estate gift, loyal support and love of Chi Omega. Her thoughtful giving will nurture young women for generations to come.
