Disaster Relief Assistance Available to Members

Chi Omega continues to work diligently to provide support and guidance to our members devastated by storms and other natural disasters. One example of this support is the Chi Omega Foundation’s Sisterhood Fund Disaster Relief Program. This program exists to allow Sisters to help other Sisters, both alumnae and collegians, who have found themselves suddenly and unexpectedly in financial need due to Presidentially declared disasters.

As expected, the Chi Omega Foundation has received multiple donations from members far and wide to help their sisters affected by these disasters. If you or another Chi Omega you know is need of financial assistance due to the early March devastation in Kentucky, Washington, or Oregon, please reference either the Collegiate Short Form Application or the Alumnae Short Form Application for Financial Assistance through the Sisterhood Fund Disaster Relief Program.

Grants from this program are restricted in their use to the payment of basic necessities arising directly out of a Presidentially declared major disaster or emergency, and relief funds must be dispersed within six months of the disaster.

If you have any questions about the Chi Omega Sisterhood Fund Disaster Relief Program, please contact Saranne “Punky” Penberthy at saranne.penberthy@yahoo.com or the Chi Omega Foundation Executive Assistant Linda Landon at (901) 748-8600.

On behalf of all of Chi Omega, we will continue to keep those affected by these tragedies in our thoughts and prayers as you continue to rebuild your lives, your homes and your communities.

Loyally,

Shelley Potter
Chi Omega Foundation President
