Ann Lee Konneker Keynote Address Speaker Named

Cindy-Chiang.jpgCindy Chiang Halvorsen earned her bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering at the U of Cincinnati, where she was a campus leader, homecoming queen, and an initiate of and recruitment chair for Pi Alpha Chapter. She graduated in 2004 as the top student in her field, and was a Presidential Leadership Medal of Excellence recipient. The Ohio native earned her MBA in 2010 at Northwestern U’s Kellogg School of Management.

Today, Cindy works in brand management at Kraft Foods, where she’s overseen major product lines such as Jell-O, Shake ’N Bake, and Taco Bell Home Originals. Earlier she was with Procter & Gamble and the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company.

Cindy has been active as a Chi Omega alumna since graduation and was selected to participate in the Flagship Session of the Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership Institute of Chi Omega in 2005. Additionally, she is a loyal donor to the Chi Omega Foundation.

Known for their energetic personalities, intense competitiveness, and loving relationship, Cindy and her husband, Ernie Halvorsen, recently raced around the world to win the $1 million prize on Season 19 of CBS’s Emmy Award-winning show, The Amazing Race.

Cindy will speak on Thursday morning, July 12.

Announcing the Malinda Jolley Mortin Woman of Achievement Awards of Chi Omega

nancyheadshot.jpgNancy Utley Jacobs, Xi/Northwestern U, is president of Fox Searchlight Pictures in Los Angeles, which boasts such award-winning films as Crazy Heart, Little Miss Sunshine, Napoleon Dynamite, Sideways, and Slumdog Millionaire. The 2011 titles she’s most proud of are The Tree of Life, Shame, and The Descendants. Nancy is our first recipient of the Malinda Jolley Mortin Woman of Achievement Award to have two collegiate-aged Chi Omega daughters: Hannah Jacobs, is an initiate of Phi Alpha/George Washington U, and Katy Fitzpatrick, is an initiate of Beta Alpha/U of Pennsylvania.

148484_Perrier-12092010.jpgNancy Dugal Perrier is an internationally respected oncology surgeon. She maintains a full clinical practice; teaches students, residents, and fellows; and lectures internationally about surgical endocrine disease. The recipient of many recognitions, awards, and research grants, Nancy has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, and is member of numerous professional boards. Nancy was recruitment chair for her Chi Omega chapter, Phi Gamma/Louisiana State U. She and her husband, Dan, have two children, Daniel and Amélie, and live in Houston.

These awards will be presented at Convention on Thursday evening, July 12.
