Shopping Spree Highlights Wish-Granting Event
The women of Omicron Zeta/Arkansas State U helped grant
the wish of Kaitlyn, whose wish was to have a shopping
spree. And shop she did—picking out lots of new clothes,
creating three stuffed animals at Build-A-Bear, and loading
up on electronics and digital gadgets.
While the group was checking out at Best Buy, where Kaitlyn
selected a television, digital camera, games, movies, and
more, a store patron stepped forward and anonymously paid
for everything in Kaitlyn’s shopping cart. “It was the sweetest
act of kindness I’ve ever witnessed,” said collegiate Hannah
Johnson. “Every employee and Chi Omega was crying!”
During the event, collegians wore adorable matching T-shirts
(see photo) and neon-pink wigs because pink is Kaitlyn’s
favorite color and treatment has temporarily left her
