Helping Hands

Hotline for Teen Help

Paige Stephenson was about to begin her junior year at the College of Charleston in 2004 when she found her 16-year-old brother dead. Hunter had attended a party, where he ingested a toxic drug.

In Hunter’s memory and also to save other families from a similar devastating experience, Paige and her mom established Hunter’s Hotline, a 100-percent confidential resource, where teens can report drug and alcohol abuse, bullying, and other issues.

“I want to see the hotline in schools across the country,” says Paige, an initiate of Zeta Gamma Chapter. “It’s at Huntsville High School in Huntsville, Alabama; Huntsville Middle School is next. I’m raising funds to make this a reality, to make a difference, and to celebrate Hunter’s life.”
