Megyn Price

Chi Omegas Flourish

This Television Actress Sets Her Own “Rules of Engagement”

Megyn Price is best known for her roles as Claudia Finnerty on the sitcom Grounded for Life (Fox Network, 2001–2005) and, since 2007, as Audrey Bingham on the CBS sitcom Rules of Engagement, in which she stars alongside Patrick Warburton and David Spade.

Her most important role, however, is as Mom to four-year-old Grace. And it is with Grace in mind that Megyn has set her own rules of engagement. When she receives scripts or project opportunities, her first stipulation is that filming take place in the Los Angeles area, where her family lives. While she will travel for short periods of time, she is generally committed to staying close for her daughter’s sake and for the sake of her family, which also includes her husband, an emergency room physician, and their dogs.

Although born in Seattle, Megyn grew up in Oklahoma, where she began acting, writing, and producing plays while in high school. She was named one of USA Today’s Top 20 High School Students and selected as a Presidential Scholar during her senior year in recognition of both her academic achievements and the production of Here Comes the Sun, a play she wrote and produced at a regional theater.

While matriculating at Stanford U, she was initiated into Chi Omega by Nu Alpha Chapter, studied communications and economics, and pursued her passion for theater by performing and taking classes at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.

With a college degree in hand, Megyn played it safe and accepted a job as an investment banker. However, it quickly became clear that she couldn’t ignore her passion for acting, and she quit her job to pursue her dream.

Megyn’s first gig was in an episode of Quantum Leap in 1993; her first major role was starring as Nancy Slaton in the 1996 ABC sitcom Common Law. Other notable parts included playing Gale Ingersoll in LateLine, which ran from 1998–1999 on NBC, and occasional roles in Saved by the Bell, The Drew Carey Show, Will & Grace, and American Dad!

This Sister enjoys organic vegetable gardening, hiking, writing, traveling, and cooking. Last August she completed her seventh triathlon in New York City.

It seems Megyn made the right decisions by following her passion and setting her own rules of engagement.
