Forbes Magazine Names Tereza Nemessanyi “One of Ten Female Entrepreneurs to Watch”

New York City tech entrepreneur Tereza Nemessanyi is a leader of and voice for women in similar careers, a niche many view as the next wave of women’s economic empowerment.

Tereza’s 2010 op-ed with Reuters, “Will the Next Google be Started by a Woman?” caused a ripple across the national tech scene and drove new found attention on women and technology. “I believe in empowering women-led businesses . . . and am the ONLY tech company doing this,” she says.

Tereza’s leadership is such that Forbes magazine named her “One of Ten Female Entrepreneurs to Watch” in 2011.

After graduating from the U of Pennsylvania, where she was initiated by Beta Alpha Chapter, earning a master’s from Wharton Business School, and holding several career positions and lots of responsibility, Tereza realized she needed to start her own company. But what?

That’s when she sent a blind e-survey to friends and the idea for Honestly Now (www.honestlynow.com) was launched. The website, apps, and online community forum are cutting-edge marketing platforms for small-business owners and people who are experts in any topic. It is socially integrated and questions have unique urls for privacy.

“Many people, particularly women,” she says “instinctively seek advice from others to inform their decisions and Honestly Now is the interface to get it done. Why make a mistake if you don’t have to?”
